Completion of Wadsworth, OH Manufacturing Plant Expansion
Clampco Products, Inc, a leading manufacturer of stainless steel clamp products, is excited to announce the completion of their manufacturing plant expansion. The 18,750 sq-ft expansion was completed on schedule and will increase total manufacturing plant space at the Wadsworth, Ohio location to over 60,000 sq-ft.
“This expansion is a result of forward thinking by our ownership to add space and manufacturing capacity in a down economy. The additional square footage will allow for improved manufacturing flow and additional capacity required for many new OEM (original equipment manufacturer) contracts secured in 2009 for pending 2010 Diesel& Emission (DPF) projects,” said Derek Sandborn, National Sales and Marketing Manager at Clampco Products.
The expansion will also allow for further implementation of Lean Cellular Manufacturing and increased product warehouse area to accommodate Kanban and JIT (just in time) daily shipments to OEM customers.” Industry best delivery lead times have brought an incredible amount of opportunities and new business to Clampco Products. The expansion will strengthen our ability to provide customer deliveries 2-3 times faster than our competition,” said Rick Gissinger, VP of Operations at Clampco Products.
